Neigborhood Spotlight: Oakland Park’s Whispering Lakes of Oakland Hills

The neighborhood of Whispering Lakes of Oakland Hills is one of the best kept secrets in the Oakland Park real estate market. Situated just south of Prospect Road and west of Powerline Road is this tucked away gem of about 300 homes. Most of these homes are one level ranches and were built in the 1970’s and 1980’s and are a combination of South Florida and Spanish in style.

The homes start in size of around 1,300 sq. feet for a smaller home and can go up to 2,200 sq. feet for a larger home. With home prices starting in the low $200,000’s and going into the $300,000’s for bigger and more updated homes making this one of the more affordable neighborhoods in the metropolitan area.
